Could you tell us the nature of the service or business you are involved in?
Chi-Ming, a Mechanical & Electrical Engineering company, has been engaged in manufacturing industry since its startup in 1992, with its main business covering hydroelectricity, air conditioning engineering, etc.
Why do you want to use FileMaker in your business?
By using FileMaker tools, we can manage the company documents both vertically and horizontally. As a result, our work process is running in a smoother and time-saving way.
Before using FileMaker, did you have any problem with the tools you were using? Or did you have any trouble in your business?
Let’s take engineer estimate form as an example. By using FileMaker, we may share the data with colleagues and synchronize on devices like iPad wherever we are. It’s just one of the examples.
How does it help you with your problems? Could you give an example or describe?
After using FileMaker, data including quotation, salary and cost analysis, etc. can be connected and integrated via the system automatically, so that more human resources can be saved.
Please briefly describe your feeling in using the system.
Before the introduction of FileMaker, we were using softwares like Word and Excel to manage most of the internal and external documents. It is not easy to integrate data, especially for a Mechanical & Electrical Engineering company where a huge amount of data are required and work force dispatching takes place frequently. As a result, we suffered from missing important data and couldn’t find an ideal solution. Since we started to use FileMaker, we’ve avoided a lot of manual mistakes, optimized our work process and enhanced operation accuracy. Even when we are going abroad, we may monitor everything through this amazing system.
